Scheduling
JVB’s successful scheduling strategy contains three key elements: planning, controlling and managing.
- Planning the project includes documenting what needs to be done – defining and coordinating specific activities and work tasks, preparing work schedules, assigning and allocating resources to competing activities and developing an acceptable budget.
- Controlling includes keeping the project on course – updating actuals, measuring performance, taking corrective action when needed, evaluating options, devising workarounds.
- Managing includes keeping the project team and client apprised of progress, challenges, commitments, budget, critical path and expected completion date.
